Always used to take my car here, most recently to fix an issue with squealing from the front wheel. Was told they had stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt the brakes on the front. Fair enough the squeal had gone. Then about 3 weeks later I had to take my car for a service but this time went to a different garage which was more conveniently located for where I was at the time. Turns out that the brake calipers were completely seized on one side, the discs were worn and damaged, the brake pad on one side was non-existent as a result and one of the brakes was slathered in copper grease (to address the squeal). EMG clearly hadn't done what they'd told me they'd done and had also failed to communicate potentially serious issues with the braking system and then charged me for the privilege. I can no longer trust this garage and won't be going back.
Sold us a very expensive three year "covers everything guarantee" then tell us one year later that it will cost us 85 to find out if the fault in our Kuga is covered. Something doesn't seem right there. Not impressed.
Took my car in as I had a suspected leak in my air conditioning. Was told they would regas and add uv dye and find the leak. Ended up not checking for the leak after adding the dye as they'd have to take the bumper off to check. Very confusing as it doesn't make much sense. Why add the dye then not check for the leak? When I asked about this I received vague answers like 'leave it a week or so'. This despite me telling them I'd be driving abroad next week. In the end I contacted a smaller independent garage and am booked in for the check with them. The difference in how I was talked to and treated as a customer was miles apart. A real shame as I've bought all my cars from emg in the past and went to them for all repairs. I wouldn't normally make a post like this but I was very disappointed by the whole experience.
